Congratulations! Will he be riding the big red wagon or the meat wagon? I interact with MANY paramedics (ER nurse) & am aware that it's usually one or the other unless it's a special occasion. Don't be frightened. These guys are well trained & are acutely aware of what's going on with each other. Trust me when I say they REALLY DO look after each other. When the worry overtakes you, just remember that you'll do more good to send positive energy out to him & his team than to sit around imagining the worst. It takes discipline to not let the worry over-ride you, but you really have no other choice. Just think, he's now TRULY an American Hero. I'm proud for you both!
